i sang "When you say nothing at all"

曾經很喜歡的一首歌，最喜歡當中對「心有靈犀」、「無聲勝有聲」的西方演譯：
Try as I may I could never explain
What I hear when you don't say a thing
...
Old Mr. Webster could never define
What's being said between your heart and mine

因為這一句，我認識了Merriam Webster's Dictionary，從此在網上查英文字首選此家，無論寫中學作文還是大學論文，定題所用字眼的definition都援引Mr. Webster。

忽然記起當初聽這道歌的那種感覺，翻出歌詞輕唱，依然對那種平淡中的默契心生嚮往。

一直對愛情電影興致缺缺，因此從來沒看過摘星奇緣（ "Notting Hill"），不像當年眾人那麼熱衷，今日第一次聽Ronan的版本，覺得沒唱出歌詞那種韻味，mv也給我粗製濫造的感覺，完全沒有那種意境。還是喜歡Alison Krauss的演譯，輕輕柔柔的。Keith Whitley的也很棒，嗓音裡多了一分磁性，彷彿這份感情經歷過滄桑依舊未變（audio link 的照片也很帥，出乎意料呢）。

許多country songs如今聽來，依然優美動人，不覺過時。都是經得起時間考驗的真正好歌啊。
